Ok so im fighting a guy named Jeffrey Gore, I dont know to much about him. He trains straight MMA and has a 1-1 record. So he has more experience in the ring than me but im not to worried the only thing that sucks is i pulled or tore my oblique and I cant train real hard while its healing. hopefully it will be better in a few days since the fight is only a few weeks away.

Which one's the oblique?
Just don't overtrain. I'm sure you know that, though. Are you cutting much weight? You been working any muay thai or wrestling?

Ive been working both muay thai and wrestling and judo and bjj before i tore my obliuqe i was training around 4 hours a day. The oblique is the the muscle on the side of the abs, the ones that make your torso twist and lean sideways, it hurts more when i lean to the side. Im not really cutting much weight the fight is at 215lb. im 222 right now, so i wont have to cut much weight. I think my opponent is fighting up weight or not cutting he usually fights at 205.

Destroy him, dude. No mercy.
You told me about a Judo match years back where you took it easy on the guy 'cause you're nice, and he turned around and beat you.
Kill him. Make his parents cry.

Dude, from what Shawn has told me about you and your martial arts experience, you'll tear that guy apart. And our whole valpo class would love to see a video of the fight. Hope that oblique gets better quickly enough to train more, man.

Yeah my oblique is not healing well. I still cant defend any gaurd passes to my left side, cant escape from side control on the left. Cant punching or kicking with my right is pretty uncomfortable to. So I think im gonna wait until April to fight in the next event. I HATE being injured!

Good call. Don't fight injured. Maybe when April rolls around, I'll be able to come down and watch the action in person!
