I've been playing a bit of Tekken 5, and I'd have to recommend it. I've always been somewhat a fan of the Tekken series, but not a diehard by any means. The system is cool, the physics are better, the combat styles are fairly representative...for a video game.
One of the coolest things is how customizable the costumes for the characters are. Lei in a full police outfit with a hat and billy club looks great, Yoshimitsu with a huge hat or mempo is really cool looking. And now there's a ninja character who very oddly resembles Wesley Snipes in the movie "Demolition Man". Give it a shot if you're a fan of Tekken or fighters in general.

Sounds cool, I'll have to check it out sometime. My favorite Fighting game so far would probably be DoA 2. It had some sweet characters and some pretty authentic moves for a game. Although the most authentic moves in a game would probably be Pride Fight championships but its the controls are kind of akward I think. I personally cant wait until they have VR suits and you can fight in real virtual reality!

Yeah, it's a good game. The only exposure I ever had to DoA was when i came over to Ken's one time and played it with you guys, but that was pretty cool.
Oh yeah, and VR suits for fighting games would be totally sweet. It would be really hard to coordinate the animation well enough to be totally responsive without some amount of contact, but I'm sure it could be done. It'd be really great to VR sword duel your friends.

Tekken 5 is a very sweet game. Wasted a couple hours at Best Buy playing it...hehe. The graphics are a lot crisper and I find it interesting and unique that each character speaks in their native tongue. Some of the moves are just crazy, which just broadens the spectrum and makes for a great gaming experience. Probably one of, if not THE, best fighting series around. Definitely worth the play.
