Active Edge Fitness: www.activeedgefitness.comGreg recommended this school in Lansing IL "What DOESN'T this place have? Muay Thai kickboxing, American kickboxing, boxing, Jeet Kune Do concepts and philipino martial arts, hapkido, karate shu-ha-ri-ru, and Brazilian capoeira." Currently Greg is enrolled in the Muay Thai, and all I have to say is wow! What a workout! Awesome instructor (Lansing police officer): very easy going and not "strict" or "intimidating" like some other teachers are.

www.geocities.com/jjichicago/jji.htmlI went to this place last night. It's a Judo school in the loop in Chicago. It's pretty traditional as far as format goes (saying sensei a lot, throwing in some Japanese with bows), but the class was great. Two-hours-long practice, with warmups, drills, uchikomi, throwing onto pads, and finally some standing and kneeling randori. I'm all bruised up and loving it. Forgot about those pins though... that tends to change the ground game. All those Judo guys thought I was a BJJ guy (which is hilarious to me) because I wasn't sticking with pins and I took the back after a bad throw. Yet, over at Robinson's BJJ, I was referred to as the Judo guy. Can't we all just get along?

Soudns pretty cool, I forget about the pins to. I give up side control a lot to go for submissions forgeting I could win the match with just side control.
