Anybody else watch it? If not, you missed Royce Gracie vs. Kazushi Sakuraba II, as well as Brock Lesnar's mma debut. All the fights were pretty good.... Korean Judo bronze medalist with 47 consecutive judo match wins Dong Sik Yoon beat Melvin Manhoef via armbar in a crazy match. I seriously thought Dong was gonna get destroyed, but he took a darn good punch and finished the round with one open eye. The tides turned like every 30 seconds in that match, it was awesome.
Royce beat Saku by decision....I was kinda pissed, three 5 min rounds just ISN'T ENOUGH for those two guys. But oh well, haha I think Saku could care less that a Gracie finally beat him. He was pretty nonchalant, as always. In his interview before the fight he was like "oh I forgot about my first fight with Royce". hahaha...
Brock Lesnar was supposed to face 7'2" Hong-Man Choi, the announcers said Choi had medical reasons to not fight, but my online source says they cancelled the match a week ago cuz Choi couldn't get a 'fighting license', whatever that is. So instead he went up against another Korean judoka, Min-Soo Kim. It was brutal. Lesnar took him down, passed his half gaurd like nothing took mount and literally beat him into submission in just over a minute in the first round.
I can't wait to see more Lesnar in mma! The guy's a freaking monster! FReakishly strong and agile and large, plus Royce took him under his wing for a while as well as his other trainers...
